YETi is a theatre production ensemble created to give high school students the opportunity to take part in the full frontier of theatre.
Elevating Young Performers
Conservatory is a progressive program of study for students who are interested in developing more advanced acting skills in a positive setting.
There are five levels of Conservatory. Each level is made up of two semesters of study in the Fall and Spring which may be taken in any order.
All Conservatory students participate in an evening Showcase at the end of each semester.
Interested?
Students must be nominated from a current Childsplay Class to participate in Conservatory OR students must audition.

Fall Conservatory 2026
Fall Dates: Sept – 5 – Dec 17 (No class on 10/3, 10/10, or 11/28)
Dress Rehearsal: Saturday, December 12th. Dress rehearsal takes place on campus at Childsplay on this day. The class meeting times are stagared for all classes. Every group will meet at a different time throughout the day between 9 AM – 7 PM. Exact times will be communicated early in the semester.
Showcase Location: Tempe Center for the Arts
NOTE: Fall Showcase will be on two different DAYS.
- All ACTING Conservatory Classes will perform on Wednesday, December 16th at 7:30 PM
- All MUSICAL THEATRE Conservatory Classes will perform on Thursday, December 17th at 7:30 PM.
Call time is 4 PM for both days.
Spring Conservatory 2027
Spring Dates: Feb 7 – May 14 (no class 3/14 or 3/21)
Dress Rehearsal: Saturday, May 9th, Dress Rehearsal takes place on campus at Childsplay on this day. The class meeting times are stagged for all classes. Every group will meet a different time throughout the day between 9 AM – 7 PM. Exact times will be determined within the first week of classes.
Showcase Location: Tempe Center for the Arts
NOTE: Spring Showcases will be on two different DAYS.
- All Acting Conservatory Classes will perform at 7:30 PM on Saturday, May 8th (Times TBD)
- All MUSICAL THEATRE Conservatory Classes wil perform on Sunday, May 9th (Times TBD)
