In appreciation of their generous support, Society for Imagination and Wonder members are invited to an annual "Members Only" recognition event. The 2014 exclusive gathering was held at the home of Sally and Richard Lehmann in November.
The inspiring evening included cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and feature a talk from Thomas Schumacher, the President of Disney Theatrical Group. Mr. Schumacher oversees the development, creation, and execution of all Disney live entertainment around the globe, including Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aida, and more recently, Peter and the Starcatcher, Aladdin, and Newsies. Passionate about theatre from an early age, Schumacher has long recognized the impact that theatre has on the lives of young people, and spoke to members of the Society for Imagination and Wonder on the impact of performance and arts education for children.
