In Where’s Nemo, a delightful short musical set in a vibrant underwater world, a curious young fish embarks on an exciting adventure, only to find himself lost among the wonders of the ocean. As he explores colorful coral reefs, he encounters a variety of quirky sea creatures—a wise turtle, a playful fish, and a shy seahorse—learning valuable lessons about bravery and friendship along the way. Meanwhile, his overly cautious parent sets off on a humorous and heartfelt quest to reunite with him. Filled with catchy songs, engaging characters, and important life lessons, Where’s Nemo is a joyful reminder that the ocean is full of surprises and that love can guide us home.
Staged Stories gives students the opportunities to work on already written and developed short script. All students get a named character with lines (and solos) if they want them. We write and select ensemble focused pieces that allow each student to shine but not overwhelm them. At the conclusion of the class, students will perform in two free workshopped performances in our large rehearsal hall for their friends and families. We will focus on foundational performance skills projecting, movement, character, line delivery, memorization, and teamwork.
