Scoopsies: The Newspaper Musical takes a hilarious spin on the world of newspaper boys (and girls) in this 30-minute parody of Newsies. When a ragtag group of young reporters gets wind of a story that could change everything, they band together to take on the powerful editors and uncover the truth! Filled with witty dialogue, toe-tapping tunes, and plenty of tongue-in-cheek references to the beloved original, Scoopsies is a whirlwind adventure through the world of headlines, deadlines, and some seriously over-the-top drama. Perfect for young performers looking to have fun and make a big splash in a small amount of time!
In a Musical Theatre Marathon, participants polish singing, dancing, and acting skills while learning a musical in a week! Directed by professional theatre artists, each script contains familiar songs from musicals or pop culture. After a week of intensive training, participants share a workshop performance for family and friends at Childsplay's campus.
