Childsplay is excited to launch a new initiative to make its performances and the theatre experience more accessible for all families. This new program will provide a menu of options for families including online resources, pre-visits to the theatre, and more.
As part of the pilot phase, Childsplay will be hosting a pre-show visit for families on Tuesday, October 6th from 4pm to 6pm at the Tempe Center for the Arts (700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe 85281). The evening will provide families with the opportunity to practice being at the theatre and experience elements of a production before attending a performance of Sideways Stories from Wayside School. Childsplay is hoping to learn more about how to make their programming relevant to you and your family, and look forward to providing this opportunity for young people and families to be introduced to the theatre before attending a performance.
Families who participate in the open house event on Tuesday, October 6th will receive FREE tickets to see Sideways Stories from Wayside School on a weekend following the open house. After attending the performance, Childsplay will contact you for feedback on your experience in order to help improve upon this program.
